El label alemán Highgrade Records, el mismo que comanda Todd Bodine, cumple 13 años, con más de 160 referencias en su haber, y para conmemorarlo lanzan un recopilatorio donde el grueso de la plataforma, aporta estupendos temas inéditos que mantienen la filosofía de este label desde sus inicios.

No faltan cabezas del sello como Jens Bond, con el tech house dubby de Turn Down; Tom Clark, que nos sorprende con su lado más desenfadado, reflejado en el divertido The Sick Rose o Daniel Dreier, que nos ofrece el tech house, de corte deep, de A Lie y, por supuesto, Todd Bodine, que llega en compañía de Noah Pred, para ofrecernos Memory Fades, una pieza de house groovero y luminoso.

Tampoco faltan a la cita artistas ya establecidos como el rumano Mihai Popoviciu, con el deep tech house orgánico y elegante, de Go Freak; o el proyecto Dachsund que tiran de deep house clásico a través del tema Silent Majority; así como Markus Homm con el house minimalista de Rainbow Assort o Jacob Phono, con un aporte electroide llamado Seduction.
Recientes incorporaciones como Daniel Delgado y Maik Yell, que se unen bajo su proyecto Beelejean, nos muestran su buen hacer, esta vez gracias al cálido y soulero No Fights; o el italiano Luca Torre, que se pone elegante, a la par que sinuoso, con su Grisaille.
Nombres ya consagrados como el español Prompt, con el pistero tech house de Path; el venelozano Argenis Brito, que se deja ayudar por Joye Miratakis en el tribaleo profundo de Ciruelo o el italiano Luca Dobbie, que nos ofrece un hit veraniego bajo el título de Ursa Minor; sin olvidarnos de Marcelo Rosellot y Aldo Cadiz, que nos traen el house jazzístico y elegante de Whoa Back o el alemán Rick Bull, más conocido como Deepchild, y que se sale de la norma general del disco, con el technero We Don’t Touch.
Una buena tanda de nuevo cortes que demuestran porque este sello ha llegado a esta edad sin descender el nivel cualitativo en ningún momento.

Swing Recordings, El Nuevo Sello De Mark Henning

Mark Henning va a lanzar un nuevo sello llamado Swing Recordings. Desde mediados de los 90 el artista basado en Berlín lleva produciendo minimal techno y house para sellos como Soma (que publicó Jupiter Jive allá por el 2008), Cityfox e Hypercolour, solo por nombrar algunos. Pero ahora ha llegado el momento de fundar su propio sello. La primera referencia del mismo, titulada sencillamente SW01, es un single de 4 temas firmado por el propio Henning. Dos temas cuentan con la participación de su compañero en Cityfox, Dejan. El Ep saldrá en formato vinilo a finales de agosto, mientras la versión digital tardará un mes más en llegar.
